Hollis Lashley

Hollis Lashley holds a graduate degree in psychology, and "Flash" has performed his music and poetry at many venues throughout the U.S. He has appeared at many cultural festivals including The Smithsonian Institute, The St. Louis Museum, The Minneapolis Institute of Art and the Brooklyn Museum.

He has hosted radio shows in the Washington D.C. metro area, is an M.C, and has appeared in “Eden” and “Smile Orange” with the D.C.Black Repertory Co.

He has read his poetry at several sacred space ceremonies and is a life-long student of spirituality. He lives in Maryland with his thyme plant.

Comments have been made about my thyme plant, and I have explained that in addition to providing excellent seasonings for my cooking, my thyme plant keeps on loving me unconditionally, never questioning where I have been, nor being annoyed over trivial things. I have even learned to apologize for plucking its leaves, in spite of its quiet tolerance. So far, it is blossoming without any apparent trauma, and for this I am grateful.
